Dangerous Goods Information and Restrictions

In accordance with rules and regulations, the transport of items classified as dangerous goods by our passengers during travel is prohibited, except for certain exceptions, as they pose a risk to flight safety.

Dangerous goods include the following: explosives, gases, flammable substances, oxidizers and organic peroxides, corrosive substances, infectious and toxic materials, radioactive substances, lithium batteries, environmentally hazardous and magnetic materials, and other similar dangerous goods.

Certain dangerous goods listed in the table below, determined by regulations, may be transported by passengers under specific conditions.

Your checked baggage may be opened for inspection by the relevant authorities for security reasons. Southwind Airlines will not be responsible for any damage that may occur if your baggage is locked.

  • Attaché cases, etc. devices and objects

Liquids, jellies and sprays to be transported must be in a jar, bottle or similar container with a volume of not more than 100 ml.

Containers with liquids, jelly and sprays should be placed in a transparent and easily sealed plastic bag with a volume of not more than 1 liter.

The number of fluids, jelly and sprays, thus transported, should be as much as the transparent plastic bag with a volume of 1 liter contains.

Each passenger should have only one plastic bag prepared in this way.

The following substances are included in the group of liquids, jelly or sprays.

All types of liquids, including water, syrup, liquor, creams, lotions, oils (including cosmetic oils), perfumes, all types of cosmetics, including mascara (except for lipstick in solid form), shaving foam, deodorants, all types of pastoral substances, including toothpaste, products that are not solid, such as jam, honey, yogurt, patho and tomato paste, fluids for contact lenses, shampoos, other substances similar to the aforementioned substances.

On Southwest Airlines flights, passengers are prohibited from carrying weapons with them and in hand luggage

Toxic substances that cause high temperatures (mustard gas, sarin, anthrax, smallpox, cyanide), sprays that disable and restrict movement (pepper spray, tear gas, CN and CS gases in the form of key chains), solvents, corrosive and removing substances (chlorine, bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.), substances that cause health hazards, pressurized gas cylinders, oxygen cylinders (chemical oxygen generators, submersible cylinders, cylinders with liquid oxygen), heat generating devices.

All types of liquids over 100 ml (gel, toothpaste, lotion, solid/liquid mixtures, perfumes, shaving foam, aerosol, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, etc.). The application on this issue is indicated in the regulation on liquids.
